{summer style}
hello lovely friendlikins!
how are you this fine + dandy day? are you out enjoying the blue skies + sunshiney goodness? perhaps your'e adorned in a lovely summery outfit like the ones above? perhaps you need some inspiration for what to wear this summer? these pretties tickle my fancy, do they tickle yours too?
i'm thinking over-sized, loose, floaty dresses + skirts + shirts are going to be the way to go this summer. i reckon it's going to be hot like an oven! i think they would be perfect for picnics in the cool of a tree, beach fun times, birthday + CHRISTmas parties, + all the summery shenanigans we'll get up to!

{spring style}
hello lovely friendlikins!
spring has sprung + so has my desire to wear bright colours, cute polkadots, maxi skirts, florals + lace! are you excited for spring? yay for sunshine, flowers + fun times! i've done my wardrobe change over from winter/autumn to spring/summer + my wardrobe seems to be lacking in the clothes i can actually wear department. dangitty dang. i can feel a spring clean of my wardrobe coming! organising! oh, i am easily excited : P. tommy + i have pledged to not buy any new clothes for the next year - only secondhand + homemade allowed. i guess we've chosen to do this for a few reasons:
1. clothes are ridiculously expensive
2. we have no moolahs
3. why would you spend $50 on a shirt when you can get it for $2
4. i've always wanted to make my own clothes
5. tommy wants to learn how to sew
6. it's all part of our dream life plan of living more sustainably
7. it's creative + fun!

{winter style}
hello lovely friendlikins!
HAPPY WINTER TIMES! whether your'e a fan of winter or not we're going to have to rug up to keep those chills from getting us; and that means lots of woolly layers! i've never been a fan of the colour black. i find it bland + depressing. i don't own much black clothing - a pair of jeans + a bag are pretty much it! how about you? do you dare to wear the dark side? haha. i'm LOVING that colour is becoming more popular this year! it means walking through the shops/streets won't be so dull with all the grey + black everywhere, yay! if you haven't already thought this season about injecting a bit of colour into your wardrobe/life, i reckon you should give it a try. the sky might be full of grey clouds + we might have sniffly noses, so why add to it with more mundane? why not add some colour + pattern + vibrancy to bring a smile on your face + those around you?!

{52 things before 25}
{nail art inspiration}
hello lovely friendlikins!
HAPPY TUESDAY! hope your'e having a lovely day, even though the clouds are out to play. the topic of today is le nail art. have you been swept up by the craze? when i was in year 7 i would change my nails every week, doing different colour combos + trying out patterns. i had waaay too much time on my hands - literally! these days, i do try to get my nails done fairly regularly. the only problem is that i never wait til there dry enough before i try to do something! and i seem to find myself painting my nails in the car, and the other day at the train station... which actually worked out really well as the cool air + not being at home with all the things enticing me to touch them + ruin my nails.
it reminded me of a flower with a golden centre + purple/pink petals. i've been gifted some nail decals, so i think they will be my next challenge. i think something quite simple will be best.
will you join me in learning some nail art skills too? it's all part of my {52 things before 25} goals, which you're more than welcome to join in with + share how you go! that would be dandy : )

do you paint your nails in random places too? or is that just me? haha have you tried out any patterns or designs? i've decided to slowly work myself up to the task/i'm not sure if i should bother doing anything too intricate as i'll just end up smudging it! so i started off with black shimmery nail polish - as i never wear black, so something a bit different. i also was going to add some kind of patterny thing to the ones below but didn't get that far. i think they still looked fun : )

{52 things before 25}
{hairstyles}
hello lovely friendlikins!
how are you this fine day? any plans for the weekend? we have quite a busy one! including but most definitely not exclusively a 21st tonight. so what better time to start trying out new hairstyles, i say?! above are a few styles i thought would be lovely to try + also to inspire me to create something new!
last night i attempted a couple. first was the hair bow:
and then i went for a halo/crown braid:
it was lovely to have a change, i normally just have my hair out. do you like to stick with what you know or do you like to spice things up a bit? i'm excited to play hair again real soon! will you join me in a few {52 before 25} goals/challenges?!

this one worked out a lot better me thinks! and was the hairstyle i chose for my friday night fun times!
i love having wavey hair after i take out my braids - i feel like a mermaid.
my lovely husband dyed my hair friday night as we watched the pink panther. i LOVE red hair!

{autumn style}
hello ello friendlikins!
happy thursday! how are you this fine day? hope all is well : ) the sunshine is so lovely today. any crafty shenanigans or adventures planned for today? i'm thinking of doing the following:
***going for a walk + soaking up the sunshiney goodness***
***stopping by my local craft store for calico so i can bunt up a storm tonight***
***i'll need to do some chores like taking the clothes off the line***
***working on my element eden knit off project***
***snuggling with the kitties***
***spending time in the WORD + hanging out with my AWESOME God***
i'll also be dreaming of cooler weather where i can don some of the lovely autumn clothes above! are you looking forward to snuggling under quilts, drinking tea, watching the rain from your window + getting cozy in layers + knits too? mmm... sounds good to me!

how are we all this lazy sunday afternoon? how was your weekend? i hope it was full of lots of lovely adventures despite the rain! how crazy to think its march already?! and it's AUTUMN! it's time for the leaves to change colour, from green to yellows + orange + red + pink + purple + brown. it's time for layering up to stay warm + snug in the increasingly cooler weather. it's time for crunching through piles of leaves, reading by the window - listening to the rain + drinking hot chai under a quilt.
